Our Work

Family Planning was established in 1936 and over the years we have helped generations of women choose the size of their families and the spacing of their children.

The needs of New Zealanders have changed over time and so have the services we offer and the issues with which we are involved.

Access to reliable contraception and other sexual and reproductive health services remain a priority and we also focus on ensuring young people receive good quality, comprehensive sexuality and relationship education.

Bequest income is very special to us and your gift will be invested for the long-term benefit of our clients. What’s more, it won’t affect your income today.

There are different types of gifts

You may wish to leave Family Planning a percentage of your total assets or you may wish to leave a specified sum of money or particular assets to Family Planning, such as shares, art work or an insurance policy.

Or after you have made provision for family and friends you may wish to leave Family Planning the remainder (residue) of your estate, or part of it.
