You can collect your Early Medical Abortion (EMA) prescription for free from 1 July 2023. EMA medicine can also be delivered to a safe address — for free — by courier.

An EMA prescription comes with: 

• Instructions on what to do and when to do it 
• Mifepristone tablet 
• Misoprostol tablets 
• Tablets for pain relief 
• A special pregnancy test designed to check that your abortion is complete

Medicines for feeling sick (nausea), as well as contraceptives, may also be included in an EMA prescription.
