Results from a community survey undertaken for the Healthy Families Project in Kiribati, demonstrate that the project has made significant progress towards improving sexual and reproductive health services in South Tarawa, the country’s capital.
We manage the project in partnership with Kiribati Family Health Association (KFHA), who provide the clinical and health promotion services on the ground.
Among the results:
- 81% rate KFHA’s services as very good or excellent.
- 65% more respondents have used KFHAs services compared to 2012.
- 61% more respondents have experienced KFHA’s health promotion activities compared to 2012.
- 76% of respondents believe KFHA’s services have improved in the last 12 months.
The Healthy Families Project began in January 2012. It is funded for three years by the New Zealand Aid Programme.
